Day 5 #100DaysOfHomeEd

Today has been a sorting kind of day again. This week I've been sorting my home ed stuff, stationery supplies, tools etc, folders, making sure it's much more easily accessible as we go forward (it was in a box in our home ed area but I found I was always doing stuff away from there or Twinkl printing in my room)

S has been practising her small e shape, she's getting so good :)
We took delivery of some stage 1 and 2 reading books, two Lego superhero phonics book and workbook sets, a few of her favourite character books, an amazing nature book, a coloured lens nature book and a butterfly garden set, with a book and little models of the butterfly life cycle. We talked about how and when we would do the set, watched a few process videos on YouTube all about it. We are very excited about starting it as the weather warms up, right now it is so cold here.

I've created some more Pinterest boards for craft ideas for the next month+, Valentines, Pancake day, St Davids Day, Easter, Mothers Day. I did have the project themes organised by month with the holidays scheduled to take up a few days/week. But I'm thinking of stretching body theme out a little bit longer until we begin our Spring in bloom and butterflies etc theme. March was going to be Wales & where we live, and Spring for April. We'll see, there's still plenty of time left in February yet, S does love the body topic though.

Last night I received a Kickstarter email, and today actually paying attention to it I saw there's a third edition of the Mini Museum out. The price is very steep, and I also loved 1&2 but they were out of our range back then when they were available. I have backed number 3 today, probably the only Mini Museum we'll ever have, but so, so exciting!! They don't ship until July and there's still some left on Kickstarter but they are going so fast!! S will absolutely love it, and so will I, I have a huge love of history and rocks and have collected them myself since childhood.
