Hi, Im Stargirl, this is my Mammy, and this is our blog!!

I was born in January 2012 with a cleft lip and palate, a hole in my heart, positional bilateral talipes and many more things. I have a unique chromosome syndrome and the week before my 2nd birthday I was diagnosed with cancer (Wilms Kidney Tumour).

This blog is to raise awareness of all these conditions and prove that nothing in life can hold you back.

My Mammy is 27 and is a divorced single parent.

She went through years of trying to get pregnant before I came along and had me anyway despite what the doctors said. She got severe preeclampsia and more, had a 3 week hospital stay waiting for me to be born early, had all the inductions, and then finally an emergency caesarean before having other birth complications. So she knows quite a bit about hospitals and random things they don't tell you about labour. This blog will be full of information and tips from her and other parents about a whole range of things.

My Mammy is also an illustrator so a lot of this blog will be illustrated not pictures, and there will be children's books out featuring me and my conditions to help others!

The pages on this blog will contain lots of info on some of the conditions I have, medical aspects, about operations, real life aspects and how to live with them etc from my Mammy's point of view.

We will have other parents writing their points of view on similar things too.

I am home educated by my Mammy too, so lots of our adventures will be posted on here too.
